Initial Licensing Fee
The initial licensing fee is amount paid by new applicants for the initial practicing and temporary membership.Fees are pro-rated, based on the date of application for the initial license as follows:
| Initial Registration between December 1-May 31 | $300.00 |
| Initial Registration between June 1-September 30 | $150.00 |
| Initial Registration between October 1-November 30 | $75.00 |
Practicing licenses expire on November 30 of each year and must be renewed annually
Temporary licenses may be issued to applicants for a limited time.
Temporary license expiry dates are as follows:
- February CSMLS exam registered: Temporary license expiry March 31; or
- June CSMLS exam registered: Temporary license expiry July 31; or
- October CSMLS exam registered: Temporary license expiry November 30
Annual Licensing Fee
Practicing licenses are issued annually.The annual licensing fee is the amount paid by current members each year for license renewal

Note:
Renewals must be completed by November 30 in each year to be eligible to work on December 1.
Practicing without a license is in contravention of the MLT Act.
Beginning December 1, late fees are automatically assessed.
Any person who fails to renew by February 1 in a given year is no longer a member of SSMLT, removed from register and shall be required to pay the Re-entry to Practice Fee to re-activate their membership.
Annual Membership Fee
Membership shall be renewed annually. Membership period is December 01 to November 30 each year.

*Non-practicing members that are on temporary leave are required to purchase Professional Liability Insurance(PLI)
