Honorary membership may be awarded to a medical laboratory technologist who meets the requirements of Bylaw II, Section V.
Bylaw II, Section V Requirements
A person may be awarded the title of Honorary Member of the Society if, in the opinion of the Council, that person:
- meets the qualifications of a practicing, non-practicing, or retired member; and
- has made an outstanding contribution to the profession of medical laboratory
- may vote at all Annual or Special Meetings and in Mail Ballots and shall be eligible to stand for and be elected to any office and be appointed to any committee;
- shall receive the publications of the Society.
No fee shall be payable, pursuant to these Bylaws, by honorary members.
